help with pet build
okay im interested in creating a pet build for my PVE ranger. right now my build is:
ranger skills:
hunters shot
rapid fire
favorable winds
pet skills:
feral lunge
call of haste
companionship
charm animal
attributes: 10 beast mastery
1 expertise
9 + 1 marksmanship
so yeah basically my ranger has buffs to shoot faster to back up my pet and my main attack cause bleeding condition and so does my pet (btw my pet is a wolf) and my pet also has call of haste to make it attack aswell as my ranger.. also i decided not to put wilderness servival since i have companion ship to heal my ranger and my pet
so yeah i'm bascially asking if this is a good build and if there are any other builds i can create without faction or nightfall skills becuase i only have the first campaign and EotN, and yes i have done research on pet builds but i do not have the right skills to do it becuase i do not have factions or nightfall..
so any advice? please and thank you.

No, it's not a good build. I'm sorry to say that there's no such thing as a good pet build. Even a mediocre one is going to require skills across several campaigns.
For a pure BM, I'd recommend Enraged Lunge, but that's in Factions.
For a bow/pet hybrid, I'd recommend NRA, but that's in NF.
I'm not sure what I can do to help you given the skillset available to you.
Pulled from my behind:
[feral aggression][charm][comfort][great dwarf weapon][scavenger strike][incendiary arrows][ebon battle standard of honor][ignite arrows]
You'd be better off with NRA in place of Feral Aggression, but that's not an option.

There really isn't a decent pet build out there unless you want to play more as a paragon than a ranger. Pet AI leaves them switching targets too slowly, and the pet shout/attacks are so annoying to keep track of.
Woops! I pressed Predator's Pounce too soon after Enraged Lunge! He didn't get the Enraged Lunge off, but I used up energy and put it on cooldown!

Throw in Comfort Animal to resurrect pet.
Looks like you are trying to be both an archer and a pet master, and it is usually better to be one or the other. I would get rid of Hunter's Shot, Favorable Winds, and Rapid Fire. Add Distracting Shot if you have it, the 20 second skill lockout time is independent of points in expertise.
Pet builds can work very well, but you have to think like your pet and watch out for pitfalls as per Lyphen. Did someone say no good pet builds? Heh. I use a pet build for vanquishing in HM.

[Never rampage alone][Call of protection][Brutal strike][Predator's pounce][Ferocious strike][Melandru's assault][Comfort animal][Charm animal]

[Prepared shot][Never rampage alone][Call of protection][Brutal strike][Predator's pounce][Melandru's assault][Comfort animal][Charm animal][/QUOTE]
this build is fun, but i see you lack a prep for prepared shot. i would also drop call of protection for an interupt like d-shot....but then thats just me. i used to run a similiar build

i would go as a hybrid bow/beastmaster. keeps it more interesting and then you can make more use of NrA. but is straight beastmaster is what the OP wants then that build is fine (though a generic enraged lunge spammer is probably better damage)

That you don't have factions is really gonna hurt your beastmaster builds, 2 best elites and good attacks are in it :/
anyway never rampage alone is nice, but sunspear is nightfall so he can't access it.
question then is if you want a pure beastmaster or some hybrid, and again hybrid can only take bow or hammer as wep wich still seems viable.
for pure i'd say something like:
[Ferocious Strike][Brutal Strike][Melandru's Assault][Feral Lunge][Otyugh's Cry][Call of Haste][Comfort Animal][Charm Animal]
points in expertise and beast ofc
for hybrid i'm not to sure as that ain't something i often do :P

Suggestion: Swap [Call of haste] with [Never rampage alone]
?
Oh, you don't have Nightfall. Buy the last two games fast, period ^_^
